My compressor ceased up 2 weeks ago. I cut the belt, and I am able to drive the car with no problem. Summer is fast approaching, and I have been given a quote of $1500 for a new a/c system (around $1000 if it is just the compressor). Any Porsche mechanics out there?

I went to autohausaz.com. I used them to rebuild 3 german cars (2 BMW’s and a wrecked New beetle).
For your compressor: $350
Expansion valve: 30
accululator: 30
Condensor: 300
Evaporator: 400
Price comes to: $1110 for all that.
Those are all brand name parts also.
