Jim chose Steve to carry on as Kermit when he passed, though.

This was a sad and touching video made me cry. Great video, for jim henson twenty years ago when he died.

they should have made since jim died so did kermit like when big bird sang at his memorial and at the end looked up in the sky and said thank u kermit

@ESHbyESH At the time, yeah, but now Steve can do it right.

joffeorama March 12, 2010 at 7:36 am

its silly, but what really made me tear up was that even Sam, Statlor and Waldorf joined in. You know that when you can get even Sam the Eagle to sing in a tribute to you, you’ve lived your life right.

This is the first time i have seen this video, I’ve never been so teary eyed before :’(

ESHbyESH March 12, 2010 at 9:32 am

He couldn’t. His voice sounded all wrong. That was the most crushing part of it all.

Zawicki1 March 12, 2010 at 10:00 am

Oh…never mind. It was Robin…

Zawicki1 March 12, 2010 at 10:10 am

Kermit sounded weird since he died…

Fishmorph March 12, 2010 at 10:55 am

I started to cry when I saw Kermit come in. I was so afraid Kermit wouldn’t be able to talk…

The first time I saw this I cried. Now all of these years later and I’m crying again. Jim wherever you are I thank you for your vision and for making sure that there is still some magic left in the world.

kieragirl March 12, 2010 at 1:18 pm

oh man i just cried like a baby hearing those letters….

RIP jim.

jaguarjg March 12, 2010 at 3:44 pm

I stumbled on this video today. It is funny how all these years later I still cried from the letters. Jim Henson’s imagination and talent inspired a generation and continues to this day. He was one of the greatest things ever to happen for children.

I cant tell how much the muppets and fraggles and seseme street helped me become the man i am. We need need you jim,we miss you.

thechaz83 March 12, 2010 at 4:33 pm

Thanks Jim for my childhood magical. I remember watching this as it happened. Never will television be the same. Children don’t use their imaginations any more.

RabbitDance March 12, 2010 at 5:05 pm
